"Sin and Salvation in Baptist Town"
A mural depicting legendary blues musician Robert Johnson with lyrics from his song "Crossroad Blues" adorn the wall of an abandoned building in the Baptist Town neighborhood of Greenwood, Mississippi on Tuesday, May 18, 2010. According to legend, Johnson sold his soul to the devil at the crossroads in exchange for his extraordinary ability to play the blues guitar. He was allegedly poisoned by a jealous husband and died in Greenwood, Mississippi. He frequented the Baptist Town neighborhood in the days preceding his death.Add to Cart Add to Lightbox Download
