"Trouble the Water"
Dane "Peanut" Ledet Jr. stands in the skinning room where he works with his family to run Daneco Alligator Farm in Houma, Louisiana on Friday, February 19, 2010. "We do a little bit of everything," Peanut explains. "We go out and gather our own eggs, bring 'em in, incubate 'em, raise 'em to certain sizes. Kill 'em, get the skins ready to ship overseas or in the United States. We process our own meat, pack it into our customer's bags and ship it." When things are slow, like now, they build levees.Add to Cart Add to Lightbox Download
